Continental Sport Attack 5 Tires

Developed on the racetrack, perfected for the road.

  • Outstanding grip thanks to the BlackChili Compound with a new mixture for enhanced road interlocking and optimized wear pattern during track riding.
  • Confident cornering through an innovative steel belt configuration using MultiZoneBelt technology: Implementing a tighter spooling of the steel belt in the tire center ensures straight-line stability, while a broader spooling at the tire shoulder increases agility, contact patch and trust in high lean angles.
  • Precise steering response due to a newly engineered carcass in which the stiffness zones of the tire vary in a targeted manner.
  • Rapid warm-up thanks to specially optimized tread zones tailored to respective riding conditions.
  • TractionSkin surface for extremely safe and quick break-in time.

Curve Riding

Larger dynamic footprint for better grip in extreme lean angles.

Wet Grip

High void volume for better wet grip in areas where it is needed.

Lean Angle Acceleration

Flatter angles of tread cuts for more aggressive supersport performance during acceleration out of lean angles.

Warm-UP

Outer profile "mini cuts" allow for flexibility and movement of the tire, leading to better warm-up and heat preservation.

Millage

The tire’s solid backbone provides good mileage and stability.

Compound & Construction

  1. New tread compound
New adjusted compound for a more aggressive supersport application with improved balance for all-round conditions such as better dry and wet grip as well as fast warm-up.
  2. New MultiZoneBelt Technology
New 0° steel belt and carcass material (rear) for better handling, more damping and comfort, higher dynamic footprint for more grip.
         A. Center Zone: Dense spooling with many wires forms a hard center area for stability.
         B. Lower Zone: Less dense wiring in the outer area leads to a softer and more flexible zone for a bigger footprint in lean angles.
  3. New breaker geometry
Softer construction, leading to more damping and comfort. This also creates a higher dynamic footprint and thereby better grip.
  4. New carcass material
New materials and an alignment in which the stiffness zones of the tire vary in a targeted manner allow for a more precise steering, better handling as well as more damping and comfort.
